I (Joe) was in the Marine Corps for 4 years as a Combat Engineer.
The job title can be deceiving. For instance, there are several different
areas that one can land in: the air wing, support, and division. All three
have engineers, but their role is different in each group. I landed in division
and was privileged to work with some really great marines there.
Marines are a diverse bunch and I respect all of them
no matter where they served.
Oorah. (more to come...)
I remember worrying that you guys would get drafted, then you joined on your own =D
